NBA Caves and Punishes North Carolina Fans Because Legislature Protects Little Girls in Bathrooms

The following letter is from an allied organization fighting for common sense protections in corporate America.  I have forwarded it in hope that you may see that corporations like the NBA have abandoned the values of most of our country and should no longer get your entertainment dollars.

Dear Friend,
Two weeks ago, the National Basketball Association announced that the 2017 All-Star Game would be relocated from Charlotte, North Carolina due to HB-2, the legislation that introduced common-sense standards designed to protect individuals and businesses from the radical “bathroom ordinance” enacted by the City of Charlotte.

We have obtained copies of communications between a North Carolina Cong
ressman and the NBA. In a letter dated July 21, 2016, Representative Robert Pittenger asked Commissioner Adam Silver, to justify developing new business in China where the government endorses the “practice of forcefully harvesting vital organs as part of their oppression of religious minorities.”
Rep. Pittenger writes, “Is the NBA implying China’s abhorrent violation of ba
sic human rights is acceptable, but North Carolina saying men shouldn’t use the girls’ locker room is a bridge too far?”
Commissioner Silver responded:
“It is our business judgment that we cannot successfully conduct our All-Star Game in Charlotte in 2017.”

However, it appears that the NBA’s “business judgment” excuse is a deflection that fails to mention the influence of liberal corporations that are positioned to affect the league’s bottom line.

For example, executives from tech giants Google, Reddit, PayPal, Lyft and Pinterest signed a letter earlier in July urging the NBA to relocate the All-Star Game from Charlotte. NBA sponsors Pepsi and Anheuser-Busch, who are members of coalitions that oppose religious liberty protections in several other states, have expressed support for the decision.

Also, Marriott International, who publicly opposes HB2 announced a partnership extension with the NBA on the same day it was announced Charlotte was no longer hosting the All-Star game.
Essentially, the NBA appears to have given in to the influence of liberal corporate elites and their liberal LGBT allies that seek to undermine basic 1st Amendment protections for individuals and small businesses.

We appreciate the 1000+ members who joined our effort to shame the NBA and their decision to punish Charlotte and the State of North Carolina over common-sense protections by joining the liberal corporate elites working
to undermine vital 1st Amendment protections. Your engagement, and support, will help us continue to stand against the liberal assault on our values by these corporations and their political allies.
Thank you,
Lance Wray

Do you know which West Virginia candidates back the NBA’s strong-armed tactics against faithful lawmakers in NC. Do you know which legislators have abandoned people of faith and which are standing strong?

We are hard at work to provide you again this fall with a West Virginia voter guide to let you see which candidates are defenders of Faith Family and Freedom and which are merely politicians. If you can a $15 donation would mean a lot to us if you could chip in for the costs of that publication. Please click HERE .
