Poll: Defining Marriage in WV
The results of two polls prepared by the Family Policy Council of West Virginia suggest that marriage is too big of an issue not to be given to the people to decide. While the outcome of a popular vote in West Virginia is far from certain, what is clear is the fact that an overwhelming number of West Virginians desire the opportunity to have the vote - if only to prevent the decision being made without their input.
Marriage as the union of one man and one woman is among the most unifying and important of issues to West Virginians. More than 9 out of 10 West Virginians believe that West Virginians should define marriage - not judges.
