The Family Policy Council of West Virginia was founded as the West Virginia Values Coalition in 2005.  In January of 2008, it became a part of a national network to defend the local family by becoming a fully associated family policy council with Focus on the Family.

It is uniquely positioned to make the family in West Virginia the first priorty, rather than an afterthought.  We recognize that good policies should start in the home and influence government and that most bad policies start with a political compromise and seep into the home.

Through its strategic alliances with Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council, and the Alliance Defense Fund, The Family Policy Council of West Virginia is equipped with a depth of resources with which to accomplish its mission.

The Family Policy Council of West Virginia, a nonprofit education and advocacy organization, relies entirely upon the financial partnerships of its ministry friends and partners.  Though it is part of a national movement to nurture and defend the family, our efforts are focused upon the families of West Virginia.
