Our state senate in West Virginia believed that it was discriminatory and “not needed” to give Christians the right to prevent men from using sexual and gender confusion as a reason to enter little girl’s rooms . Some Republicans and most Democrats voted to reinforce city non-discrimination ordinances that allow men to freely enter bathrooms and shower areas in women’s locker rooms. A bill was introduced in 2015 that would have given greater protections to women and girls but senate leadership discouraged it and it failed in the House of Delegates.
